English Translation
वीर्यवान् valiant, सः भरतः that Bharata, दीर्घकालात् after a long time, समुत्थाय risen up, संज्ञाम् senses, लब्ध्वा च having regained, अश्रुपूर्णाभ्याम् filled with tears, नेत्राभ्याम् with eyes, दीनाम् unfortunate, मातरम् mother, उद्वीक्ष्य having looked up, अमात्यमध्ये in the midst of counsellors, जननीम् mother, अभ्यकुत्सयत् condemned.
English Commentary
On regaining his senses after a long time, the valiant Bharata looked at his unfortunate mother whose eyes were filled with tears, and condemned her amidst the counsellors. Bharata and Satrughna meet griefstricken Kausalya -- Kausalya reproaches Bharata harshly -- Bharata appeases Kausalya and curses himself -- Kausalya gets convinced of Bharata's conviction.
