मारुतात्मजः Hanuman, सः वानरः the vanara, मनसा in his mind, पूर्वम् earlier, शुभाम् auspicious, अशोकवनिकाम् grove of Ashoka, गत्वा after going, उत्तरम् again, चिन्तयामास started thinking.
