English Translation
सत्त्ववान् courageous, हरिसत्तमः best of monkeys, महासत्त्वम् very powerful, तं दशाननम् the tenheaded, समीक्ष्य after observing, अव्यग्रम् slowly, अर्थवत् meaningful, वाक्यम् these words, तत् such, उवाच spoke.
English Commentary
Hanuman, the best of monkeys, looking at the very powerful Ravana spoke slowly these highly meaningful words. Hanuman tenders both sound advice and stern warning to Ravana.
