English Translation
राम Rama, रावणः Ravana, यदा like that, कुबेरम् at Kubera, प्रत्ययुध्यत offensive, तदा then, रक्षसाम् Rakshasa, षष्टिः sixty, शतसहस्राणि lakh, निर्यान्ति sallied forth, पराक्रमेण in courage, वीर्येण in valour, तेजसा brilliance, सत्त्वगौरवात् with respect, दर्पेण proud, यत्र there, दुरात्मनः evil minded, रावणस्य Ravana 's, सदृशाः befitting.
English Commentary
"Rama! Earlier when Ravana launched an offensive battle against Kubera, sixty thousand Rakshasas who were equal to him in valour, brilliance, courage, and with respect sallied forth the proud, the evil minded Ravana."
